Garrett Seeks Super Bowl Contender
Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett has officially requested a trade, citing his desire to play for a team with immediate Super Bowl aspirations. The four-time First-Team All-Pro, who turned 29 in December, is expected to attract significant interest from contending teams looking to bolster their pass rush.
Garrett, one of the NFL’s most dominant defensive players, has racked up 102.5 career sacks, 20 forced fumbles, 200 quarterback hits, and 116 tackles for loss in 117 career games. This past season, he recorded 14 sacks, three forced fumbles, and a league-leading 22 tackles for loss.
“While I’ve loved calling this city my home, my desire to win and compete on the biggest stages won’t allow me to be complacent,” Garrett said in his trade request. “The goal was never to go from Cleveland to Cantonâit has always been to compete for and win a Super Bowl.”

Which Teams Are Interested?
If the Browns agree to move Garrett, there will be no shortage of suitors. Here are some of the top potential landing spots:
1. Dallas Cowboys (+400) â The Favorite
The Cowboys are the betting favorites to land Garrett, with owner Jerry Jones potentially making a splash move to address Dallas’ 28th-ranked defense. Pairing Garrett with Micah Parsons would create the leagueâs most dominant pass-rushing duo.
2. Washington Commanders (+500) â A Defense in Need
Despite making it to the NFC Championship Game, Washington struggled defensively. Garrett could transform their pass rush and elevate their championship chances.
3. Kansas City Chiefs (+600) â The Champions Reload?
The defending Super Bowl champions are always looking to upgrade their roster, and adding Garrett would give them an elite edge rusher to pair with Chris Jones.
4. Las Vegas Raiders (+700) â A Dark Horse Candidate
The Raiders hired Pete Carroll, signaling a win-now mentality. They have premium draft capital (No. 6 & No. 37 overall picks) and Maxx Crosby, who could potentially be included in a deal.
5. San Francisco 49ers (+800) â A Super Bowl-Ready Defense
The 49ers already have a top-tier defense, but pairing Garrett with Nick Bosa could give them an all-time great pass-rushing duo.
Other teams in the mix include the Philadelphia Eagles (+900), Buffalo Bills (+1000), Green Bay Packers (+1000), and Detroit Lions (+1400).
What Would It Cost?
The Browns are reportedly reluctant to move Garrett but have received multiple inquiries. If a trade does happen, it is expected to require at least one first-round pick and additional high-value assets.
âA first and a second, or a first and two thirds, plus a player, could be the asking price,â said an NFL executive.
Will the Browns Make a Move?
Despite Garrettâs request, the Browns have not committed to trading him. According to reports, when teams have called about his availability, Clevelandâs response has been:
“We are not moving him⊠but stay tuned.”
With free agency and the NFL Draft approaching, the situation remains fluid. Garrettâs desire to leave Cleveland has become the biggest storyline of the NFL offseason, and the league will be watching closely to see if the Browns grant his request.
