Still, surely one of the most popular is the Martingale system! Which is based on doubling roles every time your bet is lost. Of course, Martingale is not the only negative progression system used in sports betting. There are also the Labouchere system, Fibonacci system, and D’Alembert system.

Now we will turn to the most popular negative progression systems. That are claimed to generate profits (which we repeat is not entirely accurate).

Fibonacci System

Definitely, one of the most popular negative progression systems is the Fibonacci system. It is not too difficult to grasp and apply and is based on a mathematical sequence.

This sequence was first seen in the light of day by Indian mathematicians. And gained its popularity in the thirteenth century when Italy’s Leonardo Pisano published a book called “The Book of Calculations.”

This betting system is usually used in casino games, mostly in roulette, where bettors place the bets that give them 2:1 odd. However, this system is also playable in sports betting, and is very popular with players looking for “easy and fast profits.”

This is one of the most straightforward negative progression systems and is very similar to the Martingale system. As with other systems of this type, you need to increase your stake after a missed bet. And decrease your stake after you manage to hit the winner.

This system is named after its inventor, the French mathematician Jean-Baptiste le Rond D’Alembert, who, surprisingly, was a passionate gambler.

D’Alembert betting system was initially created for roulette, and the rule of this system is that after each lost bet player increases his stake proportionally. If the initial stake was $5, the next bet is $10, followed by $15, and so on. If the player manages to hit the winner, then he goes back a step.

Labouchere Sistem

Labouchere system is considered to be one of the most complicated negative progression systems. Nevertheless, this system is one of the most popular systems currently in the world of gambling.

The theory from this system is that a bettor can recover! From what? From a number of bad bets with fewer winning bets.

The system was made by a passionate roulette player named Henry Labouchere (1831 – 1912). The system is very complicated and consists of constantly calculating the next wager amount.

What cannot be denied to the Labouchere system is the fact that you can make a profit even though you have missed more bets than you managed to win.

However, with this system, as with all negative progression systems, there is a problem that at one point, the next stake remains unrealistic.

Martingale System

Martingale is one of the oldest and most famous negative progression systems. And also one of the most dangerous systems without any doubt. We are sure that there is no sports bettor who at one point in his career did not try to play this system. At least briefly and realized how dangerous it is.

Like any other system of negative progression, this system originates from casinos, and the idea is that after each losing bet the bettor doubles the stake for the next bet.

This system of negative progression is one of the most dangerous! For the simple reason that the height of your stake is dizzyingly increased after each lost bet.
